A ray of light, laughter, silliness, innocence, and goodness wrapped into one ridiculously lovable dog. The kind of boy who wakes up every morning believing today might be the best day ever—and somehow makes everyone around him believe it too.
Bru spent 171 days sitting in a shelter in Southern Illinois.
171 days.Then he got to foster.
Immediately following: the hardest decision of his life became: Which couch should I lay on? Followed closely by: Which toy should I play with first?
Watching him smile in disbelief that he’s safe, cared for, and finally getting a chance feels like watching someone discover magic for the first time.
Bru loves other dogs. Loves people. Loves life.
He’s the dog you take camping. The dog you take on adventures. The dog who fits right into family gatherings, kid chaos, road trips, and lazy Sunday afternoons.
Just over a year old and around 50 pounds, Bru is that once in a lifetime best friend waiting to happen.

Animals can be viewed by appointment only. We ask that you review our adoption information AND fill out an adoption application prior to setting an appointment so we have all your information and you understand our adoption procedures - you can do so online here.

Adoption fees: Dogs: $600, Bonded pairs: $900; Cats: $250, Pair: $325.
Fees include vaccinations, microchip, deworming and other vetting as needed. Our adoption process includes an application, reference check and home visit. Please note all adoption fees are final and non-refundable.
