Age: 2 years old Sex: Female Breed: Pitbull Weight: 55 pounds Good In Home With: Dogs

Dora Bella has a few thoughts on what makes a beautiful life.

A comfortable couch. A basket of toys. A human who appreciates the fine art of snuggling. As it turns out, a pretty fantastic social calendar.

Our girl is doing well at daycare, albeit she'd be really great with just an easy going home life.

The same Dora Bella who once needed time, quiet, and the freedom to simply exhale is now out there making friends, enjoying her days, and discovering that the world can be a pretty wonderful place.

What a beautiful thing that is.

Dora Bella’s journey has been a lesson in the extraordinary power of decompression. When she first entered foster care, we gave her something every dog deserves but not every dog receives: time without expectations.

Time to sleep. To observe. To learn the rhythm of a home. To understand that her humans were dependable and that she didn’t have to be on alert for what came next.

Slowly something wonderful happened.

She began coming home to herself.

Today, Dora Bella is a spectacular combination of professional snuggler, independent entertainment committee, and blossoming social butterfly.

She loves her toys and is perfectly happy inventing her own little games. She’s affectionate, funny, wonderfully easygoing, and has mastered the art of making herself comfortable wherever her people happen to be.

Daycare has opened another chapter for her, and watching her enjoy the company of other dogs is just another reminder of what happens when we allow confidence to grow naturally.

Dora Bella doesn’t need a life packed with constant excitement. She appreciates the simple things. A good day with friends. A familiar routine. A soft landing at home. Someone to curl up beside when the world gets quiet.

She’s proof that a dog can love adventure and still be a homebody at heart.

Her ideal family will appreciate that beautiful balance, giving her opportunities to explore, play, and socialize while honoring her love of a peaceful, predictable home.

Dora Bella has learned that the world can be safe.

Now she’s discovering just how much fun it can be.

She still believes there’s nothing quite like coming home, finding her favorite human, and settling in for a really excellent nap.

Come meet Dora Bella.

She’s ready to make herself right at home in your heart.
