Dr. Jennifer Remnes is a small animal veterinarian, animal advocate and co-founder of Vetique, a  boutique small-animal practice in Chicago designed to shake up the traditional veterinary  experience by combining exceptional, high-quality medicine with unparalleled compassion and a  little bit of chic fun and self-care. Pawsecco spritz or Pinot Meow, anyone? ;)

She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,  double majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Psychology with a minor in Chemistry.  She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of  Veterinary Medicine in 2015 after completing her clinical training at the University of Illinois.  She was inducted into the Phi Zeta National Veterinary Honor Society in 2014.

Her professional interests include dermatology, preventive medicine, internal medicine and  strengthening the human–animal bond through thoughtful, individualized care. She is especially  passionate about supporting rescue animals and the organizations that selflessly provide a second  chance at life.

Dr. Remnes became involved with MCP Chicago through a mutual commitment to animal  welfare, community education and serving those most in need. Growing up, when asked what  she would do with her life if money was never a factor, her answer was always the same —  provide aid to the most vulnerable. MCP’s mission to rescue, rehabilitate and advocate for  animals in need strongly aligns with both her professional work and personal life as a rescue dog  mama. She is honored to serve on the MCP Advisory Board and contribute her veterinary  expertise, collaborative energy and lifelong love of all animals.

Originally from Chicago, Dr. Remnes lives in the city with her husband, Brad, their Great  Pyrenees rescue, Ophelia and their larger than life Great Dane, Wally. They are adding a two legged hooman to their pack this summer!
