Ellis is 60 lbs pounds, two years old, Chicago born and raised, ridiculously handsome, and living proof of what can happen when an entire team decides a dog is worth figuring out.

Ellis has a team, a beautiful community  

When Ellis first came to us, he had a few things to figure out about this whole safe, loved, predictable-life business.

So his village got to work.

Safety. Routine. Movement. Rest. Familiar faces. Other dogs. His people leave. His people return. Tomorrow comes, and the good things happen again.

Good decisions made consistently by humans became trusted pillars Ellis could lean on. And from that foundation, this incredible dog began to emerge.

Today, Ellis LOVES life so much so that he leads through the world with a heart shaped nose  

He loves car rides. He loves other dogs. He loves adventures, daycare, snuggling, being part of a pack, and most importantly, being included.

His dream home is one where dogs aren’t simply living alongside the humans. Ellis wants a family who does life with their dogs.

Load up the car. Bring him along. Go explore. Hit daycare. Take the long walk. Come home, pile everyone onto the couch, and start again tomorrow, please, bring the dogs.

One. Two. Three. Ellis isn’t counting. He’d love a canine crew to dog his way through the world with.

He’s looking for people who understand that dogs aren’t an accessory to the family.

They are the family.

Ellis learned that life can be safe, predictable, and full of people worth trusting.

Now he’s ready for the family who will show him just how spectacular it can be.
