Meet Kirby

Kirby
Kirby is a miracle child. A survivor. A hero.
He survived extreme neglect and survived the deadly distemper virus. He found himself at Chicago Animal Care and Control being wheeled in as he was too weak to stand, half dead but his eyes still had the sparkle of will and life. We got the call, and saying no wasn’t in the cards. Straight to our vet he was whisked where the entire staff immediately feel in love. He wanted to live and he knew we were all trying to help him. He was by far the most emaciated dog we have ever seen in real life. The fact that he survived coming in that state and having any energy to fight is simply astounding. He fought, he fought for two weeks. We stood by his side and his command was our wish. The doctors claim he’s a true miracle. Kirby is pure light. He is happy. He seeks out love. He’s great with dogs and cats. He just wants to be close and learn the world by following your lead. House broken, crate trained. Social, huge hearted one in a million soul. This guy is ready to take on a Forever role with humans worthy of his magic. He’s just everything good and you feel that energy from the moment you meet him.
