Molly Rumpz | foster
I have had the opportunity to volunteer and foster in the Chicago area since 2016. Through my volunteering at CACC I worked with many rescues walking foster dogs and loved it so much that it eventually turned into a dog walking business. The dog walking business grew into a brick and mortar and in 2018 Western Wag which is dog walking, daycare, and boarding facility opened. Since day one it was very important we were giving back in some way so throughout the years we run donation drives for the shelter and try to support as many fosters as we can with free walking and daycare services along with caring for lost neighborhood dogs or supporting neighbors in need of supplies to nail clippings. This has been a culture supported by all my generous clients and a full team effort.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to not only foster for MCP but also adopt my Dog Bowie. Marta and her team make fostering as easy as possible. If I ever had questions or concerns I immediately got a response. If I needed training they would set that up. If we needed anything medical it was scheduled. If I couldn't get my foster to an appointment they would find transport. If you needed care while you are working they will connect you with pet care. You are provided with all the supplies and an endless amount of support. It is one of the easiest ways to help support MCP and help Chicago's homeless dog crisis.
