Meet Moo

Moo

The great adventures of Mr. Moo with one blue and one brown marble of sight. Moo was brought into Chicago Animal Care and Control as a euthanasia request because he wasn’t eating. Moo was a tall sac of bones and was half dead. He was petrified and wouldn’t allow anyone to touch him. We saved him in the last hour, when a truly Dane savvy and gifted foster stepped up and straight to our medical partners he went. Moo’s spleen has twisted and was turning necrotic. We cannot imagine the pain and discomfort this guy was in. Moo had his spleen removed and survived surgery. This great gentle giant has come leaps and bounds from that terrified, dying dog. Moo is absolutely loving life. He has dog friends and cat friends and human friends. Men take a bit more time to earn his trust but everyday is a new discovery of how beautiful life can be. Watching him blossom has our entire Pack front and center in awe. Moo is as gentle and loving as they come, without a angry or malicious bone in his body. He sheds his past by the minute and to us, is a true hero. He yet has another at least 15lbs to gain. Moo’s Forever Home is a Dane savvy, quiet home in the suburbs of Chicago. A fenced yard for his continued healings and happiness is a must. A social, gentle canine sibling he would love, even a feline friend would make his heart whole. Attached are pictures of how it started and how it going… He’s truly something special, looking for that someone equally as special to live out his life in the sunshine of understanding and unconditional love.
We are so incredibly proud of his ability heal, emotionally and physically.
