I first learned of MCP almost 7 years ago trying to save a parvo puppy in the middle of a very cold night. MCP was the only rescue that answered the call for help when everybody else said to give up, it’s not worth it. That puppy needed someone to say yes, we will try; and that is what MCP has been bringing to the community for a decade now: Hope for the hopeless, love for the left behind, and FAMILY no matter what. Things get tough, things get ugly, and sometimes things don’t have a happy ending, but every single animal  that comes through my door changes my life, and it’s been one of the biggest honors of my life to get to help change theirs. I’ve lost count of how many dogs I’ve helped since that first little puppy, and I hope the end is nowhere in sight.
