A real life marshmallow disguised as a medium sized pit bull.

Softy came to us from Chicago Animal Care & Control, and his name could not be more perfect. We don’t actually understand how a short-haired dog can be this soft and fuzzy, but here we are. Touch him once and you’ll understand.

Truth? His soul is even softer.

Softy is a good boy in every possible sense of the words.

Great with dogs. Great with cats. Great on leash. Great in the yard. Great in his crate. Spectacular at cuddling. He’s easygoing, loving, gentle, and just genuinely happy to be wherever his people are.

There isn’t a complicated sales pitch here.

This guy is pretty amazing.

Actually, there’s nothing short of amazing about him.

He’s the dog you bring home and wonder how you ever lived without. The kind who slips into your family like he was always supposed to be there.
