Meet Sweet Tart

Sweet Tart

Age: 2 years old Sex: Female Breed: Pitty   Weight: 36 pounds Good In Home With: Dogs, Kids

A little sweet. A little tart (not so much).

A whole lot of wonderful.

Sweet Tart is one of those dogs whose name makes you smile before you’ve even met her. And then you meet her, and suddenly you understand.

This delicious little pittie came to us from Chicago Animal Care & Control terribly sick, with a body that needed rest, medical care, and somewhere safe to recover.

Thankfully, a volunteer saw the girl behind the illness and offered to foster her.

Fast forward the good stuff began.

Slowly but surely, Sweet Tart started feeling better.

A little more energy. A little more curiosity. A little more sunshine finding its way into her days.

What began as a place to heal became a place to discover life.

The comfort of a familiar human. The warmth of the sun. The excitement of something new. The beautiful realization that tomorrow might hold another wonderful surprise.

Sweet Tart is learning that the world is full of things worth looking forward to, and watching her discover them has been an absolute gift.

There’s something particularly special about a dog whose world begins to expand because someone gave her the time to get well.

She doesn’t need to rush.

She gets to explore, learn, play, rest, and become exactly who she’s meant to be.

We are  discovering that this little nugget has a whole lot of sweetness to share.

Sweet Tart is looking for a family who will continue filling her days with love, patience, laughter, and all the ordinary adventures that make a life extraordinary.

A family who understands that the best friendships aren’t built in a hurry.

They’re built in the sunshine, in the quiet moments, in the little victories, and in the beautiful business of showing up for one another.

Her name is Sweet Tart.

Her future is looking pretty sweet.

The best part is a family about to discover just how wonderful life can be with this girl in it.
