Meet Vera

Vera
Vera is the female in our beloved bonded pair of bullies. Underdog warriors for the win here. They are extraordinary beings and we mean that from the bottom of our hearts, sent to Earth to make it a better place. These two were medical disasters on their last hour in an overcrowded shelter in LA. Vera had her insides hanging out from a chop job, at home, c-section and Happy was showing neurological signs, both suffering from skin issues galore on top of everything else. They came from a horribly neglectful life to say the very least. She went into emergency surgery where they found evidence of multiple butcher c-sections performed. Through a whole army of teamwork we got them back to Chicago and these two warriors are shining through their past with vengeance of love and colorful, beautiful energy. They are hilarious. Vera is part goat. She’ll be snuggling up to you and all of a sudden jump 5 feet across the room for a toy. They adore dogs and children. Happy is a ray of sunshine. Happy came out of the shelter showing nothing but top notch happiness and gratitude. The neurologist at the ER diagnosed with CH. Happy is walking and gaining strength in his legs daily. They both are currently in physical therapy for their tiny potato bodies. Cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) is a developmental disease that can arise from a genetic mutation or from environmental insults during development. While there is no cure or treatment for this condition, as dogs grow, they compensate for their condition and go on to live a long, happy, and pain free life. Vera and Happy love cars rides and being a part of all things to do with the good life. Extraordinary creatures looking for extraordinary humans to call Forever home.
