Meet Violetta
Violetta
Age: 1 year old Sex: Female Breed: Pit Mix Weight: 40 pounds Good In Home With: Dogs
The story opens in a Chicago parking lot, where a small, long‑legged blur sailed from a moving car and landed—heart thumping, eyes bright—at Chicago Animal Care and Control. Before anyone could name the feeling in their throats, she stood, shook off the dust, and trotted toward the volunteers like a tiny, determined miracle. They loved her on sight. Everyone does.
She’s only about a year old and just 40 pounds—petite, deer‑like, all fine lines and fast feet—with the sparkle of a unicorn and a lust for life that won’t quit. Dogs? She greets them like long‑lost cousins. Humans? She hands out smiles and wags like party favors. If joy had a shape, it might look exactly like this: long limbs, bright eyes, and a tail that keeps its own happy beat.
In her perfect chapter, she lives in an active, structured home where the day has a rhythm and the fun has a plan—morning walks, training games, neighborhood meet‑and‑greets, and friends galore. She’s built for weekend camping and adventures—trailheads, lake breezes, starry skies—truly, all the adventures!! Give her a map and she’ll draw the route with her paws.
She’s the kind of heroine who turns a sidewalk into a runway and a backyard into a festival. With gentle guidance and clear boundaries, she channels her big feelings into brilliant focus: ears up, brain on, heart open. She’s eager to learn, quick to laugh, and happiest when the cast includes other dogs and a crew of kind humans cheering her on.
Ask the volunteers—she’s the one they still talk about in the break room, the crowd‑favorite who makes errands run long because everyone stops to say hello. She’s not looking for a background role. She’s ready to be the star of someone’s show—your co‑pilot, your trail buddy, your best decision of the year.
If your home has movement, kind structure, and room for a 40‑pound, year‑old, deer‑legged unicorn with a heart that refuses to dim, step into the story with her. The past is behind her. The curtain is up. And the next scene—joyful, busy, love‑soaked—starts the moment you say, “Let’s go.”
