Meet Kika
Kika
Age: 12 years old Sex: Female Breed: Shiba Inu Weight: 35 pounds Good In Home With: Dogs, Cats, Kids
She once belonged to someone who loved her very much. When cancer took her person, the house fell quiet, but she kept carrying their gentle rituals forward: a patient sit for the leash, a slow circle before settling, a hopeful look toward the door when the light turns gold. Now she’s in foster, and the world is opening again—familiar and brand‑new at the same time.
She moves through a room like a small spell: calm, well‑adjusted, soft‑eyed. Cats are greeted with polite curiosity, dogs with easy grace, kids with a careful wag and a willingness to share the sunny patch. She is phenomenal with them all because steadiness is her language. Give her a rhythm—morning walk, afternoon nap, evening stroll—and she blooms. The leash means conversation, not speed; she likes to read the day with her nose and leave notes in the grass for friends to find later.
At home, she is the keeper of quiet joys: the warm corner of the couch, the window seat that watches the street, the gentle nudge that asks if there’s room at your side. She isn’t demanding; she’s present. She wants a soft spot to call forever hers, a place where the kettle sings and someone says her name like a promise.
This Shiba girl truly thrives across the rainbow of homes—busy families and peaceful nests, multigenerational households and chosen families of every stripe. What matters most is kindness, routine, and a heart that makes space for a senior soul who still loves her walks, her people, and the small, good things that make a life feel whole.
If you’re ready for a companion who brightens the quiet, steadies the bustle, and meets each day with quiet optimism, come meet her. She will pad into your life on careful paws, curl up like a comma at the end of your day, and write the rest of the sentence beside you.
