At just 8 months old and 18 pounds of Frenchie fabulousness, Mars isn’t slowed by anything — not even CH (cerebellar hypoplasia), which has gotten better in the months we've had him. His legs may wobble, but his spirit? Steady as a rocket, bold as a sunrise.
He was brought into Chicago Animal Care and Control in a shoebox for euthanasia. We got the call and fell in love immediately.
Strapped into his custom cart, he doesn’t just move — he soars, leaving a blur of joy, drool, and charm in his wake. Every turn of his wheels spins with courage, every ride is a parade, and everyone he meets becomes an instant fan.
Mars' philosophy is simple: Life is good. People are better. Dog make the world go round. Belly rubs are best.
He greets the world with a grin, kisses like confetti, and a vibe that says, “Let’s party — I brought the wheels.”
Clever, courageous, and contagiously happy, Zoomie is more than a puppy.
He’s proof that the fastest thing on four wheels… is love.
Animals can be viewed by appointment only. We ask that you review our adoption information AND fill out an adoption application prior to setting an appointment so we have all your information and you understand our adoption procedures - you can do so online here.

Adoption fees: Dogs: $600, Bonded pairs: $900; Cats: $250, Pair: $325.
Fees include vaccinations, microchip, deworming and other vetting as needed. Our adoption process includes an application, reference check and home visit. Please note all adoption fees are final and non-refundable.
